Welcome
Welcome from Headteacher: Rebecca Gore
I joined The Croft as Headteacher in April 2016. I am passionate about education in general but specifically ensuring that I can inspire and support the future generation of Painswick. I am very proud to be leading an extremely committed and dedicated team of staff who all have the children’s best interests at heart.
During my career in education so far I have worked in a variety of schools across Gloucestershire, small and large, rural and urban. Most recently, I was head teacher of a small, split-site Church primary school near Evesham where I had been in post for almost six years. I therefore have much experience of different approaches to education which I can draw on to ensure The Croft continually improves on our journey to outstanding.
I am dedicated to ensuring excellent outcomes for all children whilst they attend The Croft. My aim is that our school is and remains a successful and happy place for the children where they actively learn a range of skills and knowledge, and feel safe and prepared to take risks in order to extend their learning and to prepare them for their future education. I believe that our academic focus with high expectations needs to be balanced by broader social, physical and creative activity in order for the children to develop the resilience, self-esteem, self-discipline and motivation required for them to flourish as confident individuals with high personal aspirations who enjoy learning.
