Y6 Girls' Cricket Tournament

On 10 June, we took a group of 11 girls from Y6 Frocester Cricket Club to attend a girls only cricket festival.  There was much excitement and we very quickly started to practise some key skills of catching and stopping the ball.  We had to split into two teams and the girls managed this process themselves including appointing team captains.  As the game is meant to be six-a-side, the more experienced players decided they could manage being a player short.

Both teams settled into the games quickly and played with enthusiam and exemplary sportsmanship.  We unfortunately didn't make through to the afternoon stages but we played in some friendly matches and enjoyed time together relaxing in the sunshine in the park.

I was so proud of each and every girl who attended and hope that they remember the fun they had for a long time.
