Musical Instruments

With the fundraising support of Friends of The Croft School, we have purchased a range of new instruments to enhance our music curriculum across the school.  

We now have the ability to challenge and stretch the children during music lessons in the following ways:

• Chromatic glockenspiels which allow them to experiment with different keys as well as use notes beyond one octave
• Class set of claves to work on beats and rhythm all together on one type of instrument
• Djembe drums to learn rhythms, particularly in African music
• Boomwhackers which provide a fun, interactive way to explore pitch, rhythm and harmony
