Wednesday 17 June 2026 Sports Day 2026 We were very lucky on Wednesday to have perfect weather for our sports day. The children had a fantastic morning completing various activities and events to earn points for their houses. They were also able to earn house points for their attitude and sportsmanship.

Monday 15 June 2026 Water Safety Assembly Two lifeguards from Stroud District Council visited to share their No Lifeguard - No Swim campaign with the school.

Friday 12 June 2026 KS2 Dodgeball A huge well done to our Year Five and Six pupils who also represented the school brilliantly at the Dodgeball Festival in Painswick. Throughout the event they demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, honesty and respect towards other schools. Their positive attitude and behaviour were outstanding, and the event organiser even took the time to praise the children for the way they conducted themselves.

Wednesday 10 June 2026 KS1 Dodgeball The children from Hedgehog and Fox Classes represented the school brilliantly at the dodgeball tournament. They were very honest and well behaved as well as showing great sportsmanship.

Friday 15 May 2026 SATS Celebrations Year Six have worked incredibly hard all year, but particularly over the past few weeks. They should be extremely proud of the effort, determination and resilience they showed during their SATS. They approached each day with positivity and gave their very best.

Thursday 14 May 2026 Boys football - Oxstalls 15 boys formed 2 teams and played against some much bigger schools from Gloucester. Despite having only four Y4's, the children kept on running and running and it was clear that by the end of the festival that the boys had improved, particularly their communication and passing.

Tuesday 12 May 2026 Girls Football - Oxstalls Sports Park A team of 9 girls took part in a football tournament at Oxstalls Sports Park in Gloucester. Despite playing against some much bigger schools, the girls didn't stop tackling and definitely learnt a lot from the experience.

Saturday 25 April 2026 Sporting Success! Billy from Year Three recetnly won a gold medal at an athletics tournament at The Prince of Wales Stadium in Cheltenha. Hee took part in the speed bounce event where he had to jump over a barrier as many times as possible in twenty seconds. He reached 46 bounces, winning him Gold! - a huge well done to Billy.

Thursday 19 March 2026 Foxes Percussion Performance Fox Class have been participating in whole-class music sessions since January and have been learning Samba. As a finale to their sessions, they performed to Seals, Owls and lots of their parents, friends and wider families.

Thursday 12 March 2026 Arctic Explorer We had an exciting evening for parents, grandparents and various community members where Ben Saunders (Arctic explorer) came and spoke about his arctic expeditions. One expedition made them follow in the footsteps of Captain Scott and Sir Ernest Shackleton but made him and his fellow explorer the only two men on earth to have successfully completed a trip to the South Pole (and back)!

Friday 13 February 2026 Intermediate Gymnastics A team of 7 gymnasts went to Stroud to compete as individuals in the intermediate gymnastics competition.

Wednesday 11 February 2026 Key Steps Gymnastics A team of 7 gymnasts went to Stroud to compete in the Key Steps competition. The team worked so hard to learn their tricky routines and managed to come 5th our of the 18 teams competing.
