• Friday 30 January 2026 School Oracy Competition We held our class heats for the Gloucestershire Oracy Competition 'Look who's talking'. It was lovely to see so many children having the confidence to stand up in front of their class and talk about something that interests them.
• Thursday 29 January 2026 Boys football Our boys footballl team also went to Oxstalls Sports Park for a football festival. The boys played four fixtures against bigger schools from across Gloucester and won all four! What is more impressive is that they didn't concede a goal all tournament!
• Friday 23 January 2026 New Playground Equipment The children are very lucky to have received some new playground equipment. This was purchased after the children voted on the options as part of their recent enquiry.
• Thursday 22 January 2026 Girls Football Our girls football team participated in a festival of football at Oxstalls sports centre in Gloucester. We were very proud of them as they were put into a group with all the largest schools in Gloucester and they still performed really well, only conceding one goal in all four games!
• Tuesday 20 January 2026 Netball A team of seven netballers went to Oxstalls Sports Park to take part in a Netball festival. It was an opportunity for them to put the skills they had learnt in netball club into match-play scenarios. They worked really well as a team - wining 1, drawing 1 and losing 2. They represented the school amazingly and enjoyed every second! Well done netballers!
• Friday 16 January 2026 Good News A huge well done to Alena from Year Six who has recently been selected as part of the Stroud District Girls Football Team. This is a fantastic achievement and we wish Alena teh best of luck in her games.
• Wednesday 14 January 2026 Fantastic Achievement One of our Year Six pupils, Jasper, attended an indoor athletics event in Cardiff. The event was teh Welsh Althletics Junior Open and South West Championships. He took part in two events - a 60m sprint and an 800m race. Jasper was third overall in teh competition and won the gold medal for the 800m race, where he set a new personal best and a new record for his Stroud club in the under 13 boys category. He ran this in a time of 2 minutes and 40 seconds which also places him 1st in the South West.
• Friday 19 December 2025 Christmas Stamps This year all of the children were invited to design their own Christmas stamps. It was fantastic to see lots of different designs and to see the children's favourite things about Christmas.
• Friday 19 December 2025 Times Tables Rock Stars Well done to all of our Key Stage Two children for their amazing efforts in the Term 2 Times Tables Rockstars Tournament.
• Wednesday 17 December 2025 Key Stage Two Carol Service We held our annual Key Stage Two Carol Service at St. Mary's Church. The singing was superb and teh readers spoke with clarity and confidence; even the congregation did a good job when they joined in!
• Tuesday 16 December 2025 EYFS / Key Stage One Nativity Mole, Hedgehog and Fox classes performed 'The Big Little Nativity' to the rest of the school, playgroup and then their family and friends this week. Everyone who came were thoroughly entertained and amazed at the confidence of the children on the stage.
