Knowledge Organisers
A Knowledge Organiser is a tool that we use in our classrooms and at home to help our children to 'know more' about a given subject. We include an array of key information, sticky vocabulary, facts, diagrams, maps and pictures which the children need to know about the 'enquiry' or subject we are studying in our class. These Knowledge Organisers are shared with the children and used to inform their learning in class. They are also sent home for the children to read through and share with their parents and carers.
We also have Knowledge Organiser for Maths and these have been developed by 'Can Do' Maths. They are displayed in the classrooms on the Maths Learning walls and also sent home to parents.
To help our children 'remember more' we use a variety of low stakes quizzes throughout the term that are based on these Knowledge Organisers. At the end of the term, the children also complete a double page spread where they can showcase the learning that they have remembered.
