Friends of The Croft School
The Friends of the Croft School (FOTCS) is a registered charity run by a committee of parents that raises funds to pay for extras that don’t come under the ordinary school budget.
Over the past few years, FOTCS has raised money to pay for the construction of a lodge in our nature area, new equipment for the forest school and nature club as well as reading books and an annual discretionary fund per class. Our current focus is on improving the outdoor play spaces and we’ve recently installed new playground equipment in both the infant and junior playgrounds.
Most of the key social events at the school are organised by FOTCS. Typically, FOTCS holds a fireworks night every November, a Christmas disco for the children, a spring quiz, a safari supper in May/June and a summer fair in July. The emphasis is always on having fun, as well as raising money.
FOTCS always welcomes volunteers – a new committee is elected every September at our annual AGM but we rely on help from lots of parents to run successful events. If you’d like to help or have any fundraising ideas please come along to one of our meetings (see class rep emails or the FOTCS Facebook page for regular updates) or email us on FOTCSpainswick@gmail.com.
