The Croft School Fun Club

Breakfast Club runs from 7:45 to the start of school and Fun Club is an After School Club which runs at The Croft Primary from 3:15pm to 5:00pm daily in term time.

Breakfast Club:

All primary school aged children are very welcome to attend, with a maximum of 16 places available each day. Children are provided with a choice of items for breakfast (cereal, toast, yoghurt, fruit) and water or fruit juice to drink. Once the children have finished their breakfast they can access a range of different resources. When the bell goes for the start of the school day the children will be taken to their classrooms.

Fun Club:

All primary school aged children are very welcome to attend, with a maximum of 16 places available each day. Numbers may also be increased when we run special events such as parties or film afternoons. The club is completely independent from the school and Governing Body (but it is endorsed and morally supported by both). It receives no funding from either the school or the Local Education Authority, being self-funding from fees. Three members of staff are employed on a regular basis, and the club is run by a voluntary committee made up of parents.

The ethos of the club is for the children to relax, socialise and have fun in a safe and caring environment after school. Infant children are collected from their classrooms by a Fun Club staff member, while juniors are allowed to make their own way, where they are then signed in by a member of staff. Parental/carer signatures are required when collecting all children at the end of their fun club session.

Upon arrival, children are provided with a nutritious snack and drink. We have daily themes as well as a quiet corner for those who prefer not to take part, and in good weather we always try to get outside into the fresh air. Older and younger children mix very well together at the club, and activities are aimed at all age groups. Special events take place each term and have included Halloween and Christmas parties, film afternoons, guitar lessons and a visit from  Zoo-Lab. These special events tend to fill up quickly so keep an eye out for what is coming up each term!

Due to COVID restrictions we are now having to split the school hall into 3 sections, this allows us to keep the children inside their school based bubbles. KS1 Children need to be collected from the Office and KS2 Children need to be picked up from the Hall doors. All toys are sanitised at the end of each session and are not allowed to cross bubbles during the sessions.
